How to Become a Sales Expert: Landing Page
My name is Pete Medina and welcome to my landing page! For the month of December, I attempted to learn all there is to know about sales. I will be basing my project off Brandy Drzymkowski’s How To Become A Sales Expert In 30 Days. For an overview of what a sales role entails, read my blog post where I summarize the key aspects of the position.

What I Would Have Done Differently
In any month-long project, it’s easy to fall behind. At times, you adopt an attitude of I can do this tomorrow. The problem with this is that there are only 31 days in a month and the room for error is small. Time management is crucial and I failed to stay on my project a 100% of the time.
How can I avoid this next time around? It’s simple: get stuff done! I believe a prerequisite to procrastination is feeling like every time you work the product must be perfect. Newsflash: IT NEVER IS. Simply getting work done, even if it’s not great, is better than nothing.
While on the subject of time management, another factor I didn’t take into consideration at the beginning of the month was scheduling interviews. People are busy. Adapting my project to people’s schedule delayed my progress during weeks 1 and 2. In the future, I should plan for this. It would have been ideal to get into contact with the people being interviewed a week in advance.
Was This Project A Success?
Yes!
Despite a few bumps in the road, I was able to accomplish nearly everything I set out to. Could I have done a better job? Of course! In life, almost everything can be improved.
The main goal was to begin my sales journey. My focus this month was to absorb as much knowledge as possible to help me in my beginning stages of a sales career. It turns out it did!
Thankfully, I was hired as an Inbound SDR at a SaaS company called Baremetrics. A lot of the information I learned this month will translate to my new role. I’m excited to continue documenting my sales journey and sharing everything I learn.
